What did you do this past week?
This past week my group actually met for once! We just refined our website a little bit. We changed the file locations of a lot of files to be more organized. We figured out everything we wanted to refine and change. We have plans for a more aesthetic website. I believe that this project is probably the only one where we feel like we’re at a comfortable spot at the time of writing this blog post (which is really sad in retrospect). In any case, we still have work to do.
Also, I performed yesterday at Texas Revue, which is a school-wide talent show! My dance team was the opening act, and I think we did great. This means that my practice times will surely wind down and I will have a lot more time available to work on this project.
What’s in your way?
The biggest thing in my way is the fact that I will have to go to Houston on Thursday. Unfortunately, that means I can’t be with my team working with them during that last strength. I’m glad that we’re already working on it, so it shouldn’t be as stressful as it used to be. There isn’t any huge learning curves we have to past also.
What will you do next week?
This next week will truly be dedicated to working on the project. I don’t have a lot of distractions this week since my dance practices are winding down. It’s only my unavailability on Thursday that’s going to put me back. Also, these next upcoming classes and no class on Friday will surely allow me to relax a little bit from the classwork, as I’ve been struggling with refactoring. It’s going to be something I’m going to have to work on and prepare for the last exam.
What’s my experience of the class?
Coming up to this last project, I thought it was going to be the worst of them all. Luckily, it doesn’t seem that way. It seems like it’s just cleaning up your website, and making the features already implemented better. On the classwork side, the content has surely became more difficult. I find it hard for me to completely understand what’s going on, and the HackerRank problems have been a struggle.
What’s my pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
Registration is coming up and I would definitely recommend using Coursicle to help you plan out your schedule. It’s super easy to use and keeps everything organized.
